Guided Forest Bathing+ Experiences - With Every Step Nature Invites Reconnection

Allow yourself to become fully immersed in the natural world – notice the soft rustle of leaves beneath your feet, breathe in the earthy scent of moss and watch the sunlight scatter across the woodland floor.

Mindful Meanders is rooted in a love of nature and a longing to return to a place of balance. We offer gentle guided walks in different locations on the island of Jersey and beyond, where we slow down, awaken our senses and create space for present moment awareness.

An introduction to mindfulness in nature, forest bathing.

Our sessions are for anyone who wants to step away from the pressures and fast pace of modern life for a couple of hours, unplug from technology and rediscover the sense of calm that exists in nature, and within themselves. This isn’t hiking, it isn’t about getting to a particular place: it is a deep, mindful immersion in life as it unfolds in nature. In our sessions you may feel your breath deepen and notice your mind quieten as inner calm is restored.

Your guide has planned routes along which she will offer gentle cues, helping you to fully experience the sights, sounds, textures and scents around you. There will also be a guided relaxation under the tree canopy. All of the activities in the session are invitational and offer you some tools with which to continue your future nature connection journey should you so wish.

Take some time for yourself, a moment of calm is waiting. No previous experience is necessary.

Highlights and observations shared by participants in previous sessions:

‘The light, the sharing vulnerably, the crunch and the softened contrast beneath feet, the human connection without talking, the joy of the tea and the squirrel and the sound of the ocean, the tests there to challenge our commitment to stillness.’
‘Rebecca’s calm and soothing voice. Her clear love of the theory behind forest bathing and an ability to clearly explain these.’
‘I have been suffering with chronic pain which has been a daily problem for the last 2 months, throughout the forest bathing I felt present and unburdened by my pain.’
‘My body felt calm and relaxed during and after the session. I often feel nervous and anxious in my body but did not feel this during or after the session.’
‘My mind was focused on Rebecca’s guidance and instruction and on the nature around us, so I didn’t feel the usual daily pressures or worry.’
‘I am trying to be more conscious of what is going on around me when walking the dog, rather than just listening to podcast or speed-walking.’
‘I enjoyed the section where we did a guided meditation session underneath a tree canopy.’
‘To disconnect from daily life and connecting to oneself and nature.’
